Slapton Manor: Vampire Wedding Theme

A Vampire Wedding in a Barn? Hell YES!

Our recent styled shoot at Slapton Manor in Northamptonshire was absolutely a testament to our philosophy! We brought a vintage, vampire-themed wedding to life with all the gothic edginess, but most importantly, a whole lot of personality.

Slapton Manor, has a rustic barn which provided the perfect setting for our bleeding love theme. The raw, textured walls and ambient lighting created a hauntingly beautiful backdrop that perfectly complemented our bold and edgy aesthetic. The venue's charm lies in its ability to blend the old with the new, making it a fitting choice for couples looking to inject a bit of rustic or vintage romance into their wedding day.

Our couple for the shoot was nothing short of fabulous. The Erika, our bride, with her striking purple hair, and the groom, Connor, rocking a fantastic mullet, brought a sense of fun and authenticity to the shoot. Their unique style and vibrant personalities really brought our vision to life, proving that weddings should be a true reflection of the couple getting married.

The Decor: Luxurious with a Dark Twist

We wanted the decor to be both luxurious and daringly maximalist.

The 8 seater banquet table was dressed in a black velvet runner, adding a touch of opulence, while five beautifully arranged flower bowls by Jodie at Transfigured Florals lined the centre, infusing the setting with rich, moody hues.

Initially, we planned to use black napkins, but our pale pink ones added a soft contrast that highlighted the delicate blush tones in the floral arrangements—an unexpected but welcome twist.

The black and gold candlesticks, paired with our new candles, were an elegant addition, offering both style and substance. Not only did they look stunning against the gold charger plates, but they also showcased the quality and burn length of our latest candle supplier.

Fun Meets Functionality

One of the highlights of the shoot was our playful take on wedding favours. We swapped out traditional keepsakes for something a bit more fun and universally loved - Jammy Dodgers. These quirky touches served as a reminder that weddings don’t have to be all serious; they can be fun, unexpected, and memorable for guests of all ages.

The Cake: Vampire Vibes Galore

Elissa's three-tier cake was the pièce de résistance. With its dark, moody colours and intricate detailing, it captured the essence of our vampire theme perfectly.

To make it stand out even more, we set it against a dramatic black screen emblazoned with “Eternally Yours” in bold, gothic red lettering—a fitting declaration for a love that’s destined to last forever.

This shoot was more than just a showcase of what we can do - it was a really cool, awesome day working with brilliant other wedding vendors who share of our brand’s core values.
